Vista Studios Artist Pat Gilmartin in Solo Sculpture Show at Metro Airport
Pat Gilmartin will be exhibiting some of her original sculptures at Columbia's Metro Airport. Her show will be on view from Monday, May 5, through Monday, June 30.
Pat specializes in ceramic sculpture, sometimes incorporating found objects in it, and she occasionally has her work cast in bronze. Her favorite subject is the human figure and face, especially as they reflect the contradictory and ambiguous circumstances which confound most people in their everyday lives.

The exhibition is part of a rotating art exhibition program organized by the Cultural Council of Richland and Lexington Counties. The program includes both 2-d and 3-d works by Midlands artists, with each cycle of the show scheduled to last about two months. The Metro Airport program provides a welcome opportunity to showcase original works of art by local artists to both visitors and area residents alike.
