This is the third annual SKATE AND CREATE exhibit at Gallery 80808. Local artists, skateboard artists, and even artists from the NYC area have contributed altered, painted, and creative skateboards. All sales benefit Pour It Now, a non profit aimed to raise both awareness and funding for skate parks in South Carolina...especially one in Columbia!
There are lots of artists participating, including: David Yaghjian, Jeff Donovan, Margaret Neville, Shannon Purvis, Sharon Licata, Mike Bomen, Andrew Pommier, Michael Sieben, Steve Dingman, Susan Lenz, and artists from the Blue Tan Collective in Brooklyn, NY: Joseph O'Neal, Brandon Fonville, and Steve Chellis.

Saturday is also VIVA LA VISTA, a food festival covering nearly four blocks in the arts and cultural district of Columbia with a taste of the area's most popular restaurants, live music, beverages, shopping, and entertainment....including a SKATE AND CREATE skateboarding demonstration from 4 - 5 on the eastbound (south side) of Gervais Street between Motor Supply Co. and Longhorn restaurants.
Parking is available in the City Garage at the corner of Lincoln and Washington. Entrance off Washington Street...across from the police station.
